IT Facilities

RCET IT Department was established in 2004 to address the computing needs of all the departments/units of the College in addition to development of the College website and essential software, network and hardware services provision. IT Department is committed to manage the overall IT infrastructure of the college which includes the network design, configuration, deployment, expansion & maintenance of IT facilities in all departments, and necessary staff training of RCET man power.
We are provideing 24/7 internet service and digital library access throughout the campus. RCET, Network include three boys hostels (A,B & C), Girls Hostel, Facutly and Staff Residences, four departments (Electrical, Mechancial,IME and NS & H) and Admin Block.
Hostel
The selected candidates may apply to Warden Hostels, Rachna College of Engineering and Technology, for hostel accommodations.
A limited number of seats are available in the Hostel and accommodation to all the applicants can’t be guaranteed.
Note:
It is not a right / privilege of a student to get hostel accommodation.
It is solely at the discretion of the College to offer a student accommodation in the hostel. A student involved in any act misconduct,
ill discipline, violation of rules orfound guilty of involvement in any political activities shall be ineligible for hostel accommodation.
Transport
A fleet of buses, cars and other vehicles provide uninterrupted transport facility to the students, faculty,
staff and visitors. The University presently maintains a convoy of 10 vehicles including 4 luxurious buses, 2 vans, 4 cars,
2 small trucks for carriage and 1 tractor for agriculture and plantations purpose on campus.
Rachna College also provides pick and drop facility to its faculty members from Lahore to Gujranwala and vice versa on daily bases.
Health
TThe College provides medical cover to its employees and students under the supervision of a health Committee. On the request of a Resident Tutor, the Doctor may visit a patient in hostel if he is unable to move from bed. The students are supposed to cooperate with the medical officer in maintaining record of their illnesses to enable him to issue medical certificates, when needed.
Library
It has four main sections i.e. Circulation, Reference, Book Bank and Serial section. Currently it has seating capacity of about 40 readers. It has significantly improved its book holding and it is going through an ambitious program of computerization of its services and operation. It is a lending library and most of its holdings are available to members on loan. The library holdings can be browsed through an Internet based fully searchable catalogue. In the expansion plan there is a dedicated building for the library.
Cafe
The College cafeteria provides students with an avenue for respite from heavy learning schedules, and a place to intermingle with fellow students. The Rachna Cafeterias on campus offer students a wide variety of meals and snacks at low prices.
Mosque
To provide the prayers facility to the students and staff, a beautiful mosque is situated at midway of the Staff Colony and the hostel.
Play Ground
The RCET provides facilities to the students for participation in games and sports, both outdoors and indoors. Facilities are provided for all the major sports including cricket, Hockey, foot Ball, tennis, badminton, basketball, table Tennis, Body Building and athletics.
