The Department of Electrical Engineering of Rachna College of Engineering and Technology (RCET), Gujranwala, is one of the premier electrical engineering education and research departments of the area. Since its inception in 2003, it has grown leaps and bounds and continuously striving for excellence. The department consists of experienced faculty, well-equipped classrooms and state of the art lab facilities. The department offers a four year comprehensive undergraduate program of B.Sc. Electrical Engineering, which is fully accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
The department is fully operational with the latest experimental and
computational facilities for taking up R & D and consultancy activities in various fields. The research interests of the faculty members
encompass a wide gamut of sub-disciplines of Electrical Engineering. Collaboration with faculty members from other disciplines,
both within and outside the institute, is encouraged. The lab facilities and the infrastructure are regularly upgraded and are well
supported by the institute. Throughout the four-year program, students are encouraged to use their creativity and problem solving skills
to explore and think about the unique problems in the world of electrical engineering.
The department is respectfully recognized at national and international platforms through its accomplished alumni, research publications and representation
of its dedicated faculty members as invited speakers, delegates, subject experts, reputed journal reviewers, members of expert committees etc.
The Department of Electrical Engineering is committed to grow further as a socially responsible and research oriented centre of learning.
Mission
To provide sound technical and educational training to students and equip them with skills necessary to carry on lifelong learning and growth in their professional careers. To prepare the students to become innovative, socially responsible and ethically groomed engineers in industry, business, research, and academia.
The program educational objectives for the Electrical engineering program describe accomplishments that graduates are expected to attain within four years of graduation. Following are the PEOs defined for this program.
PEO1: Utilize their skills and knowledge to solve real world Electrical Engineering problems.
PEO2: Demonstrate social and ethical responsibility in their professional careers.
PEO3: Pursue professional careers through continuous improvement in technical, managerial and communication skills.
